Getting Started

Sitecake is static CMS but it's also a drag and drop CMS. Our ultimate goal is that user can drag and drop any possible kind of content onto the website and that it's integrated instantly. That said, let's start with simple things:

Adding new content

New content is added by dragging toolbar icons onto the page.

IMPORTANT: Don't click toolbar icons, drag and drop them onto the page.

Existing content element can be clicked and moved. Blue dotted placeholder will appear at the places where it is possible to drop the element.

Several content items can be selected at once. To do that click aside your content, create a lasso selection and select several elements. Move them around or just drop them in the trash can.
