Sites with mounted SiteCake are visible from any browser. Editing with SiteCake is supported only from FireFox browser at the moment.
Toolbar
SiteCake toolbar is dragable. So you can move it around the screen if it stands in your way. Most of the time toolbar will be empty, options will appear only when they are meaningful.
How To Edit?
You can edit any content element by clicking on it. Clicking outside quits edit mode. Just like that.
How To Add Content?
By draging Heading /Sub Heading / Text / Image buttons onto the white surfaces.
Just drag and let go.
How To Move Content?
Just click and drag them around. Content is taking up styles predefined in CSS so if you move text from main column to side column it will use styles defined for that part.
How To Deal With Images
After draging image icon to the page click blue image placeholder and select one or more images to load. Once you have image loaded click on it few times to see how edit modes change: Resize, Crop and Frame. Pull selection handles and play a little.
What About Links?
After selecting text from the paragraph or headings link input will appear in toolbar. Copy and paste or enter URL in the input box. Click Link button or press Enter on the keyboard. Repeat same procedure for the image.
Undo/Redo
Undo and redo are pretty fast. You can click buttons on the toolbar, or press and hold keyboard shortcuts CTRL-Z or CTRL-Y to experience how really fast it works.
